Poor guy, the US president can’t find a friend anywhere. The left has left him cold. The right smells blood and is going in for the kill. Scanning the right wing blogs this morning at Memeorandum, one finds the knives are out among the wingnut community. Instead of rejoicing that they won a huge battle against an effete and ineffective enemy, the right is doubling down on its hate speech towards Obama. You’d think US conservatives would be thankful that their president has shown himself to be more Republican than Democrat.
This will not end well. The hate will only escalate. The left, no longer holding the hope and change ball, have walked into the sunset, dreaming of a real Democratic president they will never see. Conservatives are shedding the last vestiges of civility. Now the right is all Geller, all Beck, all Palin, all the time. It’s gonna get ugly. Real soon.
