They say an apple never falls far from the tree. Especially if it’s rotten to the core.
And in the case of Donald Trumps’s family, the would be first family of America, that couldn’t be more true.
For this is what his ghastly spawn Donald Trump Jr. tweeted last night.

Alberta Politics: Media scolding about ‘political correctness’ is baloney; hats off to MRU student who spoke out against Trump cap
PHOTOS: “Make America Hate Again.” (Jake May, MLive.com) Below: U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump and Canadian politicians Kellie Leitch and Jason Kenney. They’re not the only ones, unfortunately. Can anyone in Alberta’s mainstream media seriously claim to have been surprised by the vile stream of threats, abuse and harassment unleashed on a Mount Royal University […]

This week, an Alberta judge found Travis Vader guilty in the deaths of elderly couple Lyle and Marie McCann. Queen’s Bench Justice Denny Thomas found Vader guilty of second degree murder, despite the facts that no trace of the McCann’s has ever been found, no weapon was found, and the evidence was entirely circumstantial. Oh, […]
Continue readingMontreal Simon: Donald Trump’s Deranged and Dishonest War On the Media
As we know Donald Trump is always attacking the media, and going after reporters who criticize him, or don’t flatter his bloated ego.
Blasting away at them on his deranged Twitter account, in an obvious attempt to intimidate them.
He has vowed that if he becomes President he will change the law to make it easier to sue them for libel.
And this weekend his tiny fingers have been typing away furiously, threatening the New York Times.

Accidental Deliberations: In case we didn’t have enough reasons to want Donald Trump to be trounced…
…he’s now serving as Brad Wall’s latest excuse for climate obstructionism. We’ll see if anyone asks the implied follow-up question: whether Wall is actually hoping for a Trump win on the basis that a bigoted lunatic trying to squeeze still more money…

I knew Donald Trump was growing increasingly desperate, like Benito Mussolini himself.
Before he expired from a bad case of lead poisoning, and was hung up to dry.
For it couldn’t have been easy having to kill his own campaign.
But who knew that dirty old man is now so afraid of being humiliated by Hillary Clinton.
He would suggest that his grubby supporters might kill her…

Montreal Simon: Why Donald Trump Has Just Destroyed His Own Campaign
In my last post I predicted that Donald Trump’s so-called birther campaign would do him enormous damage.
By finally exposing him as a dirty old crackpot.
But now I’m sure it will destroy him.

Babel-on-the-Bay: Can you fight fire with fire?
Got an interesting complaint from a frequent reader: he disagrees with our Morning Line assessment of the Republican candidate in the coming Presidential election in the United States. He thinks the odds should be even between the two candidates. His reasoning is that Hillary Clinton has failed to answer Mr. Trump’s claims about her. Frankly, […]

He has been trying to soften his image, and portray himself as a reasonable man. A man who loves children and black people, not a deranged demagogue.
And it has boosted his polls.
But sadly for Donald Trump, he can only be reasonable for so long, before the voices in his head start screaming, and he reveals his inner racism.
And now, just as he was doing so well, he may have stuck a fork in his own campaign.

Accidental Deliberations: New column day
Here, following up on my earlier column on racism in Saskatchewan with a look at the lessons we can learn from responses to similar issues in Alberta and the U.S. (And no, “do nothing” still isn’t an acceptable answer.)For further reading…- Jesse and…

I’ve been warning for a long time that the monstrous demagogue Donald Trump could end up setting his own country on fire.
Whether he wins or when he loses.
And sure enough while Trump complains about Hillary Clinton calling some of his supporters a “basket of deplorables.”
Here’s what the governor of Kentucky, a Trump supporter and rabid anti-gay bigot, had to say about what might happen if those deplorables are defeated:

Montreal Simon: The Ghastly Hypocrisy of the Demagogue Donald Trump
I don’t know how Donald Trump has managed to restrain himself, and not gloat about Hillary Clinton’s bout of pneumonia. It must be really difficult.
Considering what he was tweeting just six days ago.
And how hard he has been trying to portray her as “lying AND dying Hillary Clinton.”

Montreal Simon: Why Hillary Clinton’s Illness Could Boost Her Campaign
I didn’t think the U.S. presidential race could become even more nightmarish. But I was wrong.
For on a day when that country was remembering its 911 dead, and vowing to stay strong. And less than sixty days before the election.
There was Hillary Clinton wobbling worrisomely and practically collapsing with pneumonia.

Montreal Simon: Donald Trump and the Madness of America (Continued)
There are now less than sixty days to go before the U.S. presidential election, and with every passing day the campaign just seems to grow crazier and crazier.
For what else can explain that Donald Trump can say something as deranged as this.
Donald J. Trump, in escalating attacks against Hillary Clinton, suggested on Friday that his opponent was so immune to prosecution that she could shoot someone in front of thousands of witnesses and not be prosecuted
But doesn’t feel the need to apologize.

Montreal Simon: Donald Trump: When Madness Becomes Normal
I always knew that the sleazy Con clown Donald Trump was spectacularly unfit to be the President of the United States.
How could he not be when he’s a crass demagogue, a bigot, a misogynist, a rabid climate change denier, and an abysmally ignorant Con man who makes it up as he goes along?
But it wasn’t until I watched him perform at NBC’s Comander-in-Chief Forum the other night, that I finally realized how dangerous he could be if he ever occupied the White House.
For it was madness.

Montreal Simon: The Never-Ending Shame of Canada’s Trump Kellie Leitch
It’s hard to believe, it’s like a scene from a bad horror movie, or a return to Harperland,
But it seems Kellie Leitch is determined to become Canada’s Donald Trump.
For although her dog-whistle plan to screen immigrants for “anti-Canadian values” has been roundly condemned.
She just doesn’t care.

Montreal Simon: The Donald Trump Show and the Madness of America
The more I watch the Donald Trump show, the more it reminds me of the movie Cabaret, before the Nazis took over.
Because by now it’s beyond crazy even by the standards of America. And this seems to me to be madness.
Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton start the race to November 8 on essentially even ground, with Trump edging Clinton by a scant two points among likely voters, and the contest sparking sharp divisions along demographic lines in a new CNN/ORC Poll.
For although Hillary Clinton must share some of the blame, for spending the entire month of August fundraising, instead of campaigning.
So must many in the U.S. media.

Montreal Simon: Donald Trump and the Shadow of the Klan
When I saw Donald Trump in a Detroit church, trying to appeal to African-American voters by posing as a religious person.
And swaying awkwardly from side to side to the strains of the song “What a Mighty God We Serve.”
Don’t think @realDonaldTrump is going to win any votes with these dance moves. #TrumpInDetroit pic.twitter.com/2SEOeIquXi— Matt Wilstein (@TheMattWilstein) September 3, 2016
I must admit that I laughed so long and so loudly I was practically transported myself.
But of course it wasn’t really funny, it was the act of a desperate Con man.

In This Corner: Stuff Still Happens, week 35:Why politicians shouldn’t make ‘jokes’
Oh, my. Will politicians never learn? Of course not. This week’s political miscue was by Brian Jean, leader of the Wildrose Party. Speaking at a town hall meeting in Fort McMurray, Jean said he would continue to “beat the drum” for elder care in Fort McMurray. A sucker for word play, apparently, he didn’t stop […]
Continue readingMontreal Simon: Donald Trump’s Insane War on the Planet
Donald Trump is always declaring war on something or somebody, so he can look bigger in one of his many mirrors, or in the eyes of the mob.
One day it’s Mexico, the next day it’s lying’ Hillary Clinton, or the media, or anyone who dares criticize him.
So it’s sometimes hard to remember his most dangerous war.
His insane war on the planet itself.
