Just in time for Mitt Romney’s likely run against Obama for the US presidency, the Mormon church is spending millions to upgrade its image from “secretive,” “cultish,” “sexist,” “controlling,” “pushy,” “anti-gay” to the kind of phony Americanism plastered on billboards, TV screens and magazine ads promoting every other phony product. It’s sad when your religion represents something so wacky
