You can always trust Jane Taber to be the model of journalism. Modern journamalism, that is. You know, anonymous sources, cloying coverage of conservatism, condescending dismissals of everything else, Maureen Dowdish overuse of cutesy words to make a point and plenty of dubious claims that resemble neither fact nor reality. That’s my Jane Taber in a nutsack.
It all comes together in this hagiographic piece on saint Candice Hoeppner, the Conbot who destroyed the Liberal party with only her wits, a compass, and a box of matches. It’s a marvelous tale of ‘death’, ‘killing’, ‘shots’ ‘near-fatal blows’ and well, you get the picture. It goes on an on like this in every increasing ianinty. And just look at that heroic photo of Candice looking off to the horizon like Christie Blatchford celebrating her feast of Layton! Joan of Arc and Sarah Palin, eat your hearts out!
