Tar sands dirty oil = "fair-trade coffee and free-range chicken"?

Dark Daughta has a video of Naomi Klein talking about the corporate branding of ‘ethical oil’. Klein does a masterful job of deconstructing the big money PR machine’s efforts to paint the polluting tar sands as the next coming of christ.

It made me think anew of Ezra Levant and Sun Media and what they stand for. Money. And power. And big corporations that enrich their media lackeys. To do whatever it takes to convince the rest of us that we are beholding to them, we need them and if we don’t follow their lead, we will be going not just against our better interests but in effect we are being disloyal to our county.
