I can’t help thinking I’ve seen that face before. That look of total self satisfaction, an unquestioning faith in one’s beliefs, and unshakeable resolve to rid the world of what it abhors, a total disregard for life. You see it at the bargaining table in budget talks. You see it on TV. You read it in your newspapers. This is the face of certitude.
How can the left prevail – let alone survive – when there are those who oppose anything left of centre who will say – and do – anything to prove themselves right?
