MSNBC suspends Mark Halperin over ‘dick’ comment

MSNBC proved that it is still amateur hour when it comes to cable news. The network is suspension city. In he past, it has suspended both Joe Scarborough (also involved with the Halperin incident), Keith Olbermann and Ed Shultz.

No suspension was needed. Just stop inviting idiots like Mark Halperin on the air. Suspension only makes the victim look like a hero. And the only thing conservatives don’t need is another victim. Expect the right wing media to come out with Halperin as its latest martyr.

If anybody in this whole fiasco should be penalized it should be Time for hiring such a schmuck as Halperin as a prominent editor. This episode, while hardly ‘indefinite suspension’ worthy, is as much a black eye on the publication as it is on the network.

While MSNBC should be embarrassed for goading Halperin into saying his true beliefs on air, Time should be chastised for employing such as partisan hack. The problem is not the word, ‘dick’, it is Halperin’s gossipy Taberish nonsense as Editor at Large that is the embarrassment. Just stop it. Don’t make a big show of suspending the idiot – just stop publishing his nonsense.
