Oops. Another day. Another Michele Bachmann historical gaffe. This one involves her praise of Waterloo IA, where she mistakenly told a blogger, ““John Wayne was from Waterloo, Iowa. That’s the kind of spirit that I have, too.”
Problem is, wrong John Wayne. The actor was born in Winterset IA. The infamous serial killer John Wayne Gacy was born in Waterloo. Wrong kind of spirit, Michele.
