cartoon life: McLaren Workshop app. Eh.
and Two scribbles out of the NFB’s McLaren Workshop IOS app. I am disappointed that it’s so locked into Vimeo, because for some reason iMovie just spins it’s wheels trying to read the film, which shows up as a long black strip of credits, and the films won’t play

Cat Sticks. First animation made in the McLaren app. The paper cutout module is freely supplied. I wouldn’t mind an in-app purchase of more shapes and colours. Filed under: art
Continue readingcartoon life: Paper is very very nice, but…
Paper by 53 is very very nice, but people have been listening. Sketches, flipink… Hmmm… Knockoffs? I really don’t know what is fair anymore. Neither off these would be anything without Paper trailblazing. But both answer elegantly what Paper didn’t answer for a year, and somethings it still doesn’t do.

More from Popsicolor savaging the work. These are photos documenting the progress of the stripping and refinishing of the staircase. The filters put the image in a space I wouldn’t normally imagine. Rest Stops : Vanishing Relics of the American RoadsideLiterally, before our eyes, rest stops are vanishing from the landscapes of America. All over the country, rest areas are losing the fight to commercial alternatives: drive-thrus at every exit and mega-sized travel centers offering car washes, wi-fi, grilled paninis and bladder-busting

This is something I have to try! 21 Swings Exercise in musical cooperation Every spring, an interactive installation takes over a high-traffic area in Montréal’s Quartier des spectacles and sets a collective ritual. The installation offers a fresh look at the idea of cooperation, the notion that we can

Joi Ito, the director of the Media Lab at MIT, proposes that one way to make cities a better place for people and economies is to let weirdos flourish. What he’s getting at is that cities attract creative people who can generate wealth and culture so therefore we need to

Reblogged this from a soon to be dead blog because A) Everyone should read at least one page of Finnegans Wake if only once in their life, and B) I find this totally fascinating as it builds up to the last word, which was the name of the soon to

Begining the drawing I did my very first chalk art street at this weekend in Wallaceburg Ontario at their Dragon Boat Races, peripheral to, beside, and just downtown. A random helper drops in spontaneously and draws the toes. The wet technique just sucks up the chalk. Im afraid I

In the Guggenheim, we took audioguides as a substitute for a tour of the building, which in this season are only in Spanish. The audioguide is included with admission, and available in a huge range of languages, including Catalan – clearly a political statement from Basque Bilbao. We joined many
