The English translation of Che Wants to See You was recently published. It is a remarkable insider account by Ciro Bustos, a comrade-in-arms who was intimately familiar with Che Guevara and the broader liberation struggle in Latin America. The book adds to the credibility of Bustos who has been unfairly

I thought it was strange that at a time when Toronto was convulsed over the police shooting of Sammy Yatim, Rob Ford had nothing to say about what had happened. Nothing to say about the way the police acted that night. But instead ducked reporters, and when finally cornered while campaigning for

Tony Anthony I’m curious as to why Canada’s 100 Huntley Street has kept an interview with a thoroughly discredited British evangelist. In July a respected 3 man panel with the Evangelical Alliance released a statement about their findings regarding British ‘evangelist’ Tony Anthony’s claims in his autobiography Taming the Tiger.

I got a phone call this morning from Susan in Windsor, Ontario. Susan’s rightly infuriated that her city council is violating it’s own policy by raising the Christian Flag as part of the annual “March for Jesus” campaign, hosted by a local Christianist organization. The council’s policy on flag raising

They really are the party of people who are either bone ignorant or were born on third base, but think they hit a home run and the ‘liberal’ umpires made them go back to second base.

Party chairman calls planned Clinton programs “political ads masked as unbiased entertainment”
MONDAY, AUGUST 5, 2013, 1:58 PMBY JOSEPH STRAW / NEW YORK DAILY NEWS
Mind you I’m sure the notion that if they air a show about Hilary Clinton the GOP won’t allow them to air six months of bi-weekly two-hour prime time free commercials for the Republican presidential campaign — better known as the GOP candidate debates — will scare the crap out of the networks once they realize that it will mean giving up all the advertising from the Koch brothers and other companies owned by whack-job billionaires. Freedom of the press, indeed.
