So the politician who used to spill plenty of ink to deride other politicians for holding town halls decided to hold one on his own. (More likely, it was decided for him, what with a bunch of NDP higher ups coming down from the mainland with marching orders).
And so, as our dear MP put it himself, the “Rocking Chair Revolution” was “coming to Newfoundland”- ostensibly to discuss Old Age Security, retirement, pensions, etc.
And what was dear Ryan’s one takeaway from this public forum?
That less than a year into his current gig, the highest paying one he is to ever hold, Ryan’s determined it doesn’t provide enough pension income to him.
That’s what Ryan learned from his town hall with pensioners.
Maybe with a higher income or a more generous pension plan, MP Ryan Cleary could put a little away to buy that sealskin attire he’s had his eyes on since his last public meltdown.
You can’t make this stuff up. You couldn’t if you tried.
