You know those pickets of fresh-faced kids, the ones who gather regularly outside clinics and hospitals to bully women seeking abortions?
Chances are, we’re paying for them.
Bad enough we taxpayers are forced to subsidize the Roman Catholic Church, thanks to religious tax exemptions on their vast estates. And pay for its separate school system. Now we’re defraying the costs of their organized street-hassling as well.
“Tax the Rich” is the #OccupyWallStreet rallying cry. Eliminating the religious exemption would be a good start—and letting the Church, not the public, fund its misogynistic madrassas.
