Everybody panic, the OLP platform has just been leaked

First off, I would like to say: Big deal! So the liberal platform has been leaked by probably a conservative mole or some Julian Assange fan boy, but who really thinks that this will make people have second doubts about whom they will vote for in the coming provincial elections.

If anything, we just found out that the ones really committed to shrinking government spending are in fact the Liberals. It goes back to the article I wrote previously, that with the Harper Conservatives it has never really been about spending less, but more about spending on other things.

Things completely not designed to improve the economy in Ontario nor the quality of life of the province’s Canadians.

I mean who in the world would decide to cut funding on health-care, for example by undercutting the number of employees servicing health-care, e.g. nurses, and instead spend money on some ridiculous supposed crime fighting initiative like chain gangs and public pedophile lists.

Yes these initiatives will cost money and yes the money itself will come from the people, but it will also come from those services the people need.

Of course, the NDP and the Conservatives have both taken the chance, considering this leak, to blast the Liberals for not keeping their house in order, saying things like: this is proof that the Liberals are jumping ship, regurgitating the same bull arguments we heard from them after the May federal election, like that the Liberal party both at the federal and provincial level is nothing but a shadow of its former self, a sinking ship.

The only potential problem I see is with the statement made by McGuinty strategist Alicia Johnston, she said, “The $14-billion hole is basically just our excuse to say that he (Hudak) is going to go after health care and education, because that’s the main message we want to drive,” and “You know you can’t trust this guy with our health care and education systems.”

Miss Johnston, un-aware of the fact that her statements could be leaked, was just stating the obvious, however phrasing it the wrong way. She almost makes it sound as if the Liberals have been blowing smoke in people’s faces about Hudak’s $14 billion hole in his platform.

However, just one quick skimmed reading of Mr. Hudak’s “changebook”, and one quickly realizes how non-bullshit the $14 billion hole claim sounds.

The only one’s blowing smoke in front of people’s eyes are the Hudak conservatives.
