A Man walks into a bank in North Carolina, and gives the teller a note that says that this is an unarmed bank robbery, and that she had better hand him $1 and call the police.
He then walked to a couch and sat down and waited.
Bizarre enough eh? Why on Earth?
He needs health care. He has a growth on his chest, a couple bad discs in his back, carpal tunnel and there is something wrong with his foot.
And, he cannot get health care.
None. Zilch. Zip.
Oh he can walk into an emergency room. But, his issues are not considered an Emergency in the strict technical sense. Just a slow death….For those lucky enough to be victims of the global recession, he is SOL. Out of work, out of options.
So, he did the only thing he could think of. He "robbed" a bank to get prison health care.
And that my friends is what I and so many others have been trying to tell Canadians for so long now.
