I know, I am a cynic.
The vote swapping sounds like a lovely idea. And I can see the allure.
However. Just want to say this; we have the party of Harper we are dealing with. The vote swap is dependant on, honour.
Sure, there are still real conservatives in there. But there are also refooorrrrrrrrrrm partiers (we should call em’ the Red Rose party. In Canada eh? Pity.)
There are hardcore types mixed in there, and they are often found in the comments sections of online publications, and attending Harper rallies.
They, really have no honour.
One of them was bragging the other day on FB about having over 200 profiles, and how many vote swappers he and others were scamming.
He said it was somewhere around 1200 votes that were being, essentially, scammed. He would pretend to agree to swap, and then was voting Con anyway. And those loopy "lefties" were so stupid to fall for it! Har har har!
Now, if you know the person you are vote swapping with, and trust them. That’s not the case I am speaking of.
