Anti-Racist Canada: The ARC Collective: Court Appearance for Michelle Erstikaitis

Michelle Erstikaitis appeared in court today and has been charged with attempted murder. In a previous court appearance, Ms. Erstikaitis had with her an item that might make her friends Paulie and Canadian Creativity Movement leader Wes Smith scratch their heads a bit:

But the designated dangerous offender was clutching a Qur’an as she appeared briefly in an Old City Hall courtroom Tuesday to face charges for allegedly slashing a U.S. Consulate security guard.

Not that we actually believe for a moment she is a Muslim now, just as we questioned her commitment to the cause of “White Nationalism.”

Still, isn’t it interesting that Paulie, who had inexplicably championed her for years, has remained silent?

Things that make you go, hmmmm.

Anti-Racist Canada: The ARC Collective: July 2016 Bits and Bites

This writer is currently on vacation, however there have been a few stories that have come out lately that our readers may find of interest.

Back when we first wrote about Monika Schaefer, former Green Party federal candidate and current Holocaust denier, we anticipated that the like of Paulie, Arthur Topham, and now nutter Brian Ruhe would play the “persecuted German” angle. We haven’t been disappointed:

Anti-Racist Canada: The ARC Collective: Wildrose Party Leader Brian Jean Photographed with Aryan Guard/Blood & Honour Associate

Okay, the title of this article could rightfully be accused of being click bait and of being  unfair to Brian Jean, but it is also an accurate title.

Much like the late Rob Ford was photographed a an event with an individual well known to those familiar with the racist movement in Canada, so too was Brian Jean, leader of the Wildrose Party of Alberta who posed for this photo with Jonathan Besler we presume at the Calgary Stampede:

Given Besler’s attitude toward the current NDP government in Alberta, perhaps we shouldn’t be too surprised that he would gravitate towards the Wildrose Part as an alternative….

Anti-Racist Canada: The ARC Collective: Green Party of Canada Releases Statement on Monika Schaefer

UPDATE: Looks like the CBC picked up on the story as well.

Back in June we published an article about Monika Schaefer, a Green Party member and three time (at least) candidate in the riding of Yellowhead.

Or, perhaps it might be more accurate now to write that she is likely soon to be a former Green Party member:

The story has also been picked up by B’nai Brith Canada and by Ms. Schaefer’s local newspaper:

Video denying holocaust causes uproar
Posted by: fitzhugh Posted date: July 13, 2016 In: Archive, Feature, News

A video shot by a local resident denying the Holocaust has been widely condemned by the community and at least one resident has filed a formal complaint with the Alberta Human Rights Commission.

On June 17, Monika Schaefer, a well-known Jasper resident and former Green Party candidate, appeared in a video on Youtube denying the Holocaust. The video was subsequently posted on her Facebook page.
….
Ken Kuzminski, president of the Jasper Royal Canadian Legion, described the video as hate speech.

Anti-Racist Canada: The ARC Collective: Michelle Erstikaitis In The News Again

It’s been a while since we heard anything about Michelle Erstikaitis. Last we heard she was still in detention from a previous run-in with the judicial system and Paul Fromm was diligently visiting her behind bars (really, though he claims her as a White Nationalist P.O.W. Paulie’s relationship with Erstikaitis remains inexplicable to us…. unless…. yuck!).

We’ll, it looks like she is out of prison.

Or, perhaps we should say, WAS out of prison:

Oh.

Well.

Paulie might have a hard time explaining this away.

Michelle Erstikaitis, 36, who was deemed a dangerous offender five years ago, appeared in a College Park courtroom Tuesday looking dishevelled and ranting about wanting “a refugee lawyer” to handle her case.

She is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and carrying a concealed weapon.

“I’m a Canadian citizen and I want to leave this country,” Erstikaitis said in open court.

Okay, so, what did she do exactly?

Toronto Sun sources alleged the woman initially asked for asylum but soon began shouting “ISIS is coming to kill you” and other odd things.
….
Officers arrived and found a guard suffering from multiple stab wounds.

“It’s alleged the woman tried to force her way into the consulate while armed with a three-inch box cutter,” said Sidhu, who added she rushed through the body scanner at the front entrance prompting a guard to react.

As the guard grabbed the woman, she allegedly slashed his throat with the razor-sharp box-cutter narrowly missing a major artery, sources say.

“He managed to avoid serious injury,” Sidhu said, adding the guard’s arm was also sliced before the woman was subdued.

Yeah, that would do it.

The article goes on to detail Erstikaitis’ long and sordid history of legal problems, arrests, and her dangerous offender designation which Paulie suggested was COMPLETELY unjustifiable.

Sure.

Paulie might be pleased though (or saddened) to learn that her association with him and White Nationalists was not included in her biography

Last we actually saw Erstikaitis was at the Doug Christie Memorial in Toronto where she was photographed between Malcolm Ross and Marc Lemire….

Anti-Racist Canada: The ARC Collective: Former Green Party Candidate and 9/11 "Truther" Also Denies Holocaust

We would like to introduce our readers to Monika Schaefer, a three time (and perhaps four time) federal Green Party candidate in the Alberta riding of Yellowhead:

We first came across Monika Schaefer a few years back when Arthur Topham published an open letter penned by Schaefer to Green Party leader Elizabeth May regarding Schaefer’s belief that the 9/11 attacks were a “false flag” operation:

Now, anyone being promoted by the likes of Topham in regards to this particular conspiracy theory is likely going to have some other suspect views. Ms. Schaefer confirmed this when she referenced, “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion” as if it is a legitimate primary document rather than the plagiarized fraud it has been proven to be time and time again:

Anti-Racist Canada: The ARC Collective: June 2016 Bits and Bites: Paul Fromm, Robert Reitmeier, Tyler Sturrup, Canadians United 4 Canada, and Assault on Muslim Woman

A few things have occurred over the past few days that we figure warrant some discussion, though not necessarily stand alone posts.

First on the agenda is another example of Paulie having a bad day, which is generally a good day for most people. He was scheduled to give a speech in Victoria, however the manager contacted him to let Paulie know he was’t welcome. Paulie accepted the news with the quiet dignity he is well known for:

Or he whined and claimed his free speech rights have been curtailed while presenting the event as an epic struggle for freedom of expression. I mean, either way, right?

Anti-Racist Canada: The ARC Collective: PEGIDA Canada Reaction To Orlando

It goes without saying that the mass murder that took place in Orlando last week horrified all decent people. Whether the murder was motivated by an extremist interpretation of Islam, homophobia, or a combination of all of the above and aided by a gun culture that permeates much of American political discourse, the murder of 49 human beings (with 50 injured) was a terrible tragedy.

Of course, there are those out there who would use the tragedy to further their own agenda.

It’s sort of hard to take Ron Banerjee seriously in light of a long history of homophobic statements and online post (see here, here, and here as only a few examples). It’s even less believable when, only a day before he posted on Twitter attempting to promote himself as a fighter for LGBTQ rights, he emailed the following to Gerry Lincoln (yes, THAT Gerry Lincoln) who forwarded the exchange to us:

Not to be outdone, fellow Trump supporter Paul Fromm also offered his $0.02 which also includes Southern Ontario Skinhead member Dan Hall also contributing his thought…. if it could be characterized as such:

And then, there’s PEGIDA Canada.

Anti-Racist Canada: The ARC Collective: "YWN" Writer Can Dish It Out, But Can’t Take It

A few days ago we posted an article noting the decision by Judy Foote which ordered Canada Post to stop delivering the neo-Nazi rag “Your Ward News.” Now, we would further note that the order doesn’t preclude editor James Sears from publishing the rag online or finding other means to distribute the paper door to door. In fact, a message on Paulie’s wall posted by Southern Ontario Skinhead member Dan Hall suggests that Sears may be looking to employ neo-Nazis just for that purpose:

Of course, that hasn’t stopoed Lawrence McCurry from engaging in a little bit of online histrionic crying and gnashing of teeth:

Then again, McCurry’s freedom of speech/freedom of the press bona fides might be called into question when the rag he writes for has been promoting book burning for more than a year now:

The Collective sent a message to Mr. McCurry in which we succinctly stated that “Your Ward News” wasn’t being censored by the government, but that the government also has no obligation to disseminate trash on Sears’ and co.’s behalf:

Anti-Racist Canada: The ARC Collective: McCorkill Appeal Denied

Yesterday we were reminded that the Supreme Court was set to rule on an appeal of the McCorkill case. Paulie, who is an interested party, seemed hopeful:

We would post the rest of the message (which includes the now predictable appeal for donations because…. Paulie), but we’ll spare you the details.

Suffice it to say now, Paulie is going to be posting another, more despondent, message soon enough:

Supreme Court rejects appeal in white supremacy probate case

The Supreme Court on Thursday upheld a lower court decision to stop the execution of a New Brunswick man’s will that bequeathed his estate to U.S. white supremacists.

The Court declined to hear the appeal against a previous provincial court ruling, which was brought by the Canadian Association for Free Expression. It did not give a reason for the decision, in accordance with its usual practice.

Freedom to give away one’s property has sometimes been limited in Canada, where courts have been known to quash wills that they decide go against public policy.
….
McCorkill bequeathed his estate to the National Alliance, a white-supremacist group based in West Virginia.
