It’s no secret that Andrew Breitbart hates black people. His crusades against the left are obsessively and almost exclusively devoted to going after African Americans. Now I learn his old buddy Matt Drudge has upped the ante and is in full-scale KKK mode.
Despite the falling violent crime in the US, since just before he ascendency of Barack Obama, Drudge has made it his obsession to highlight violent images of blacks and promote any story that has to do with violence involving African Americans. It’s so obvious, it is sick.
But this is the new America. Same as the old America. White folks desperately in need of something to fear – the devil they were taught as kids. Americans must have a devil or they are not fully functional. Commies, liberals, Muslims come and go, but blacks are always there.
Opportunists like Limbaugh, Ailes, Drudge and Breitbart know all about fear. They know the popular targets throughout the history of the US and make them everyone’s bugaboo today. This year it’s black people. And Muslims. And Commies. But black people make the easiest targets.
Expect this wave of unapologetic racism to seep up north where the usual suspects will be emboldened to carry out their own vendettas against Canadian people of colour. It won’t be long after that the Posts and the Suns will begin slanting their coverage to scary people of colour and crime, although violence in this country is also declining. But they are obliged to carry water for the Cons and new prisons, so I doubt there will be much of a lag before we start reading such Drudgeco headlines in our own press.
