I’d like to take a moment to thank everyone who worked on the three by-elections this past few months, no matter what party they may have worked for.
Unlike our American cousins, our political system very much runs on volunteer labour. Between our donation limits and our spending limits, a political campaign in Canada is not the place to get rich.
The goal of our democracy should be to offer Canadians a choice of candidates that best represent their own beliefs and ideologies. This can only be done if all the candidates and campaigns have the volunteers needed (Read more…)
