What Justin said is true. Why would Quebec or the Atlantic provinces agree to abolish the Senate when it gives them such an advantage. Justin never said it was a good thing, he simply stated the fact that the advantage exists. The NDP plan to abolish the Senate will never work because they won’t get Provincial buy-in. The CPC plan to elect Senators – without changing the distribution of Senators – would further disadvantage the West.
