It seems strange to me a ‘Socialist’ president has capitulated almost totally to a right wing tea party bunch of thugs. Doesn’t Obama know this will only double down the taunts and racial insults from the Republicans?
Is his teaching moment of compromise about to strangle his country’s progress and in turn, that of the world? All for a lesson in bipartisanship? For a lesson in not fighting? A lesson that is actually one of total surrender without dignity?
Is this our progressive future? Just giving in for the sole purpose to look like we’re the adults in the room?
