Mr. Sinister makes a good point that all this ‘abolishing’ the Senate business is just Harper stomping his little feet (or more correctly, using Jason Kenney’s little feet) to get his way. The bloated and mostly inconsequential Senate is everything that Harper stands for. But he needs to reform it to give the appearance of being fair and balanced. And dang it, he’s going to do it no matter how. With Harper, it’s all about the show. The media eats it up and Harper gets what he wants. It’s the same old song and dance.
