Simcoe-Grey MP Kellie Leitch’s spending is about 21% less than the spending of our former Member of Parliament, based on the latest figures released by the House of Commons’ Board of Internal Economy.
In 2010-2011, Helena Guergis spent more than $522,000; in her first year in office, Leitch has spent more than $378,000 (I based my percentage drop comparing month-to-month, given that Leitch’s numbers cover 11 months, while Guergis’ budget is for a full year. In which case, Leitch is spending $34,426.95 per month, versus the former MP spending $43,539.11 per month).
