Sri Lankans Without Borders is excited to present another unique event for the community: FOTOtalk, an evening of photography, diasora talent and discussions, on Thursday, August 16 at 6:30 PM at the ING DIRECT Downtown Toronto Café at 221 Yonge St. The admission fee is $10 only.
Join us for fun, interactive sessions with photography professionals and hobbyists in a relaxed setting with complimentary Hors d’oeurvres and Starbucks coffee.
The event be presented in three beautifully clicked segments:
Katha Images: International award winning photographer, Andrew Adams will walk you through his visual journey including his exciting moments in Sri Lanka and share his techniques.
Diaspora Lens: An interactive session with Len Theivendra where you present your own photos and share your photography experiences. Submit 1-2 photos of your own taken in Sri Lanka, in the diaspora or any interesting subject. The Top 5 photos will be selected to present at the event. All contributions will be digitally exhibited at the event with your name.
Maximum Exposure: Team setting Photography 101 session facilitated by Shivaan de Silva with live shooting demo and creative techniques for better photography, be it SLR or point and shoot.
