I wrote the other day about the massive television screen outside BC Place, dwarfing Terry Fox Plaza. Not only is the screen an eyesore and a blast of light into nearby residences, it is stuck on permanent commercials.
Vancouverites are not pleased. Not only are local residents up in arms, but this city’s pedestrians seeing local hero Terry Fox being upstaged by this tawdry commercialism are also be upset.
In response, a Facebook page has been created to gather support for the efforts to have the screen removed. Go over and take a look. Any support would be helpful.
