When Barack Obama defeated Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination for president, it created a rift in a part of the progressive landscape that years later is not only more cavernous but even more contentious. Bloggers like Taylor Marsh, the crew at Firedoglake and Big Tent Democrat at TalkLeft are still so pissed at Obama for beating Clinton, they have not let go. Who needs the right when you have these wackos raging years later just because Barack Obama is their president. It can’t just be that their candidate lost, can it?
It’s a sad state of affairs, but the nadir might have been reached in this post from Firedoglake that has even the right’s dimmest bulbs chuckling.
