For those who don’t know, Oshawa MP Colin Carrie doesn’t actually live in Oshawa in the conventional sense. He doesn’t even live in Durham. Or in the GTA. Or in Kawartha Lakes. Or in Peterborough. Or anywhere within a three hour drive of Oshawa.
Colin Carrie’s primary residence is in Stittsville, ON., just outside of Ottawa. That’s where he moved shortly after becoming Oshawa’s MP. He doesn’t admit to this openly, of course. And while he carefully maintains that he’s an Oshawa resident, in reality he only maintains an Oshawa address for show; he doesn’t actually live there.
Anyway, here’s a great picture of Colin Carrie “Just Visiting” Oshawa to deliver some taxpayer paid goodies in his own name, complete with Conservative style branding on the cheque:

But I guess when you are rarely seen in the riding, you take whatever opportunity for base self-promotion you can get, right?
Perhaps in the next election, Oshawa voters will see this and send Colin “Just Visiting” Carrie back to Stittsville permanently. We don’t need his faux sense of charity.
