“Life is like a 12-inch pizza (snort). You never know what you’re gonna get (snicker).” |
The victimization of the right continues. Not missing a beat, GOP presidential contender Herman Cain whined to a right-wing scribe over the weekend that he will be targeted by Democrats in the same manner he alleges Clarence Thomas encountered.
Curiously, that interview appeared almost simultaneously with a report in Politico (hardly a Democratic organ) that, while head of the National Restaurant Association in the 1990s, he made inappropriate sexual references to at least two female employees.
Of course, Cain is furiously battling the accusations, at once claiming it was so long ago he can’t remember or that it is all a Democratic plot, just like the one(s) that almost brought down Clarence Thomas. Missing from the denials is any sympathy, any remorse or any sympathy for victims of sexual harassment or for the accusers for that matter.
The identities of the Democrats behind the revelations about Cain’s relations to former female employees have not been released.
