Welcome to Harperland

How we embraced hate. I was watching the CBC News this morning, Suhana Meharchand was the host.  Talking about Attawapiskat, she interviewed NDP/MP Charlie Angus.  Hostilely, she asked him, “What would you do if you were Minister?  Throw money at the problem?”  His reply showed unflappable professionalism, indicating that he

Do We Need More Proof That Harper Doubts Global Warming?

First we had the cuts to ozone monitoring that saw the shuttering of 17 ozone monitoring stations across Canada. The reason? Ozone apparently wasn’t a concern anymore (see Canada’s newest Ozone hole here). Then we had the sudden (and somewhat expected) cut of 700 jobs from environment Canada (which included Meteorologists, scientists, chemists and engineers). Now we have

Oil Illiteracy. University of Calgary paid to deny climate change.

Looks Like Dr. Kellie Leitch of Simcoe-Grey Made Her Choice a Long Time Ago

It appears that hundreds of health professionals are now putting Harpercon MP for Simcoe-Grey, Kellie Leitch on the hot seat in an open letter, basically reminding her of that pesky little hippocratic oath she took when she decided to practise medicine in her previous life, and denounce her own government’s stance on asbestos.
