In the old days when the Canadian dollar was 69 cents to the US buck, I could see why our prices on merchandise would be higher. Stands to reason. But that was yesterday. For years now the Canadian dollar has grown up and shined its shoes to the tune of parity with the yankee greenback. Yet we the consumer still pay virtually the same premium on everything we buy as we did in the poor old days.
