Niki Ashton is now in the leadership race. Ashton’s candidacy is an exciting one, especially because she’ll bring a youthful viewpoint to the race.
I’ve had the opportunity to meet Niki on a few occasions. I think she’s genuine and could make a great leader someday – and a strong cabinet minister. At this point I’m not sure if she’s ready to be leader of the opposition in March, or to take on Harper for prime minister in 2015, but I’ll hold off on my final judgement.
