Council discussing serious issues in secret?

Can’t help but notice on tonight’s agenda for Collingwood Town Council there are several issues that are being taken behind closed doors.
While there’s a couple that would be understandly be dealt with in private, a couple I have concerns.
One is the Admiral Collingwood Place development; developer Steve Assaff is making a public deputation to council tonight, but then council is scheduled to retire behind closed doors to have a discussion on the subject.
The other that raises eyebrows is a discussion on the grain terminals. It seems a little soon to have any kind of offer on the table, especially when I don’t recall seeing the RFP come forward.
So are we discussing policy behind closed doors? Given that the local branch of the Architectural Conservancy of Ontario has already called on town council to deal with the project publicly, I hope not…
