In a move that will no doubt be a relief to both the departing staff and to Michele Bachmann herself, campaign chief Ed Rollins and a top deputy have left Bachmann’s team.
Citing the usual ‘health reasons’, Rollins could no longer hold Bachmann’s serial lying in check and Michele herself is perhaps mighty relieved to have those constraints taken from her. She is free once again to stretch the truth, invent incredible claims and charge the Democrats with falsehoods.
As for Rollins, the daily humiliation and sweat required to hold the reins of a galloping Bachmann are almost a thing of the past (he’s still a ‘senior advisor’, ahem).
Win-win all around. Especially for the viewing public. The debates just a whole lot more entertaining. If only Sarah would jump in, too…
