All members of the party are welcome and have the right to attend and to participate fully in the debates and discussions. There is no charge to participate.

The SPO was founded to build a democratic Socialist agenda for Ontario and to fight for this agenda in the public arena. You are a huge part of this and it is through your ideas and input that we can create this agenda and make it heard.

If you have any additions/resolutions/policy planks to propose to this platform, please email them to socialistpartyofontario@hotmail.ca New ones that have been proposed will be posted there in advance of the assembly.
Proposals can be made at the assembly itself as well.

Building an agenda to truly confront class/social inequality & both poverty and the end of job and wage security
Building a socialist tax platform
Social justice issues for youth
A socialist policy for sex trade workers
A socialist agenda to fight the historic injustices faced by Canada’s First Nations & Aboriginal Community
Fighting homophobia, racism and sexism
Our socialist approach and strategy for 2011’s election
& much more.
Everyone’s input and perspective will be heard and is welcome.
This is your party and it needs your ideas.
If you are are interested in attending but will need to be picked up from the Oshawa Go Station please email us to arrange this. Carpool from Toronto may also be available.
The assembly will also include Executive updates and fundraising discussions.
The Assembly will be followed by a social TBA
