You’ve got to be kidding me, has DSK sexually assaulted any women at all?

I used to think that the PCs here in Canada were pretty ruthless, with their attack ads, sometimes social conservative policies and ridiculously crafted puritan image.
But not after seeing the rape scandal that Dominique Strauss Kahn has been subjected to. A scandal, which some people think is a giant political setup, by some unknown, most likely conservative, probably Sarkozist, group in France.
Just as it seems that DSK was about to get cleared of rape charges in New York, a French novelist by the name of Tristane Banon threatened to accuse Dominique of, check this out, “wrenching her bra open and trying to unbutton her jeans in 2002”.
Now I don’t know about you, but that doesn’t sound like sexual assault to me. Was she hurt? Did he physically prevent her from leaving? Was DSK violent?  And where did this happen? I’m assuming they were alone somewhere! Why were they alone?
So many questions remain unanswered and probably many more lies need to be uncovered. However, I’m sure more details will be revealed as the story progresses.
But doesn’t anyone think this to be a tad suspicious? That this woman did not come out with these facts earlier?
The Globe and Mail reports that Ms. Banon was somehow dissuaded by her mother, a regional councillor in DSK’s socialist party back in 2002, from filling any rape charges.
To me this seems like a bunch of circumstantial bullshit. That it just so happened that this woman alleged sexual assault a day after DSK was released from house arrest, and soon after the case against him in New York was growing cold.
Some think it to be just a coincidence; some say that it’s a giant conservative conspiracy. I personally don’t know what to think, however it is true that this is not the time to fancy any crazy conspiracy theories.
The evidence will reveal the truth in Ms. Banon’s claim, just like the evidence revealed that the hotel maid in New York that Dominique Strauss Kahn allegedly assaulted was full of it.
All us humble seekers of truth and controversy can do, here in the blogosphere, is wait and commit to follow the evidence, wherever it may lead.
