Neskie Manuel was found dead before the end of June, about the river near where he’d disappeared. I’ve been avoiding writing about this, as I’ve been too sad to comment.
But my spirit is lifting, a little. I can write about this, without getting too down.
Damn.
Neskie was someone I envisioned as a leader for our community for a long time to come. His absence will be felt for a long time. But it means those of us left behind will need to work smarter and wiser so we can create a community he had worked toward.
