It’s a rare occasion that I wake up and find myself agreeing wholeheartedly with a Saturday morning Post column.In a similar vein, Brian Jones in yesterday’s Telegram debunks some of the buzzwords and baffle-gab floating around St. John’s about the “necessity” of hockey team subsidies.Also now online, is the latest, post-election issue of Policy Options which is probably going to eat up the better part of my morning. You may want to start here, with Scott Reid’s piece on rebuilding the Liberal Party of Canada. There are a couple of issues on how the party can attract new adherents, and where it should first seek them out that I would quibble with, but on the whole it contains the kind of substance that stands in contrast to some of the puerile commentary on the subject appearing on Facebook and Twitter these days…
