I Guess It’s Time To Reinstall The Asbestos In Stevie Harper’s Home Since It’s So Safe And Requires No Warning Labels

Quelle surprise! Looks like Canada will be, once again, refusing to vote to add Chrysotile asbestos to the list of hazardous materials to Annex III of the Rotterdam Convention. Once again, here’s the brief explanation of this list:

Putting chrysotile asbestos on the Annex III list of the Rotterdam Convention would let countries where companies import it to turn it away if they don’t think they can safely handle it.

Also:

Listing asbestos on Annex III of the convention would force exporters such as Canada to warn recipient countries of any health hazards.

Got that? It’s not even a ban on exporting this shit (although it should be, in my mind).  But no, Stevie is hell bent on keeping it off those lists. Hell, even India which imports this crap appears to be dropping a longstanding objection to adding it to the convention.

Yes, Stevie and Chrissy Paradis are still maintaining that chrysotile asbestos is safe. Oh goody!

Yanno what else is safe when it’s handled ‘with care’ when you put it that way, Stevie? Pcbs, plutonium, anthrax, lions, tigers, bears, rattlesnakes…

Ok, Chris O’Tile, Jacques…hop to it! Go reinstall it in his home now, since it’s so safe.
