You know…

“When once a decision is reached and execution is the order of the day,

dismiss absolutely all responsibility and care about the outcome”

Willams James

It seems we are constantly having to make decisions. Now some are little and of not much consequence…usually for these we don’t even really have to think about what we should or could or want to do…for things like what to have for breakfast, dark or milk chocolate, one scoop or two really have a win win outcome and shouldn’t leave one with regret and if so probably for only a moment or two!Sometimes though we only find out what a bad decision we made only after the fact and when this happens when we recover from the shock we usually whinge, moan, and stew for a good long time and to help purge the event from our system we have to tell someone or everybody we commune with! Now telling your story can be done to make light of the trauma you just had to endure for having a laugh with a friend or two… old or new ….can be therapeutic and not only is a chuckle good for the soul but the whole ball of wax can be used as a learning tool! Some of the things I have learned in the last little while…You know you should have taken your mother’s advice to never sit on a public toilet seat when you sit your ass down….right smack dab in a ring of pee from the last man who didn’t lift it and he missed the big dam hole…. and you only find out he left his yellow ring around when your rosey is left all dam wet!You know you should read the ratings and comments for motels before you book online for 4 nights…not right after you make the transaction. And maybe if you read comments like these you should cancel the reservation right away!

Bathroom condition is not acceptable

The bathroom was horrible and poorly renovated. One of the towels were not cleaned. No elevator for the 2nd and 3rd floor. We had to haul our luggages up the stairs ourselves. For a hotel requires paid up front and charge cancellation fees, I would not recommend to stay there even for one night stop-over. The only thing I can say positive about this hotel room size was OK and the bed was comfortable.

Needs a Reno/Demo

The price reflects the quality at this Motel. Very dated and poor patch up repairs. Mould on ceiling in the bathroom. The Hallways reek of smoke right into the entrance of the room. Breakfast not even worth it, we went out… We were provided with two towels for four people. You must pay up front for a reservation with a two week advance cancellation policy. The sheets and towels seemed clean, that’s about all I can say in a positive light. If you’re looking for cheap, this is the place.

Well as we learned the hallways weren’t the only thing that reeked of smoke…so did our non smoking room. There must be something special about dirty towels for we had one too! and empty pop cans! But I must say they were so considerate to leave the ironing board set up in the middle of the room and they must have known that I am trying to get in 10,000 steps a day by not leaving any soap in the room so I had to go searching for some!

You know that maybe just maybe motels are not the correct accommodation selection after many sleepless nights and 5 AM mornings because the walls are paper thin. It has become apparent that in most cases motels are the rest stops for travelers and truck drivers who are up at the crack of dawn showering, screwing, and loading up to get on the highway at six! And I ask just how do you choose a motel even if you are physically there to eyeball it and inspect the room? Of course they are quiet in the afternoon and evening…the inhabitants aren’t there! They are doing the town or just coming into town…nooooo the paper thin walls don’t show themselves until you are all settled in bed trying to go into the zzzzz zone…then the walls start a shaking, the tv is a blaring, and maybe if you are lucky to have one that prides itself in its cleanliness no matter if it is day or night…the vacuum cleaner will be going right outside in the hallway! You know that no matter what happened or who started it…when a friendship goes bad you are always left with an empty spot in your heart. You might think you don’t care and move on but there will be times when you wonder how they are doing, if they still live where they did oh so long ago when you had such good times. Funny how when time passes you don’t remember the crap that happened…no you remember the good times…or maybe it is just me and my concussion?
