So after having read about the members of my new favourite band — which, if you didn’t notice, is the band Jets Overhead from Victoria, BC, I decided to try and add the two lead singers on Facebook. I figured not a whole lot of other people would have thought about adding them, and since I’ve offered to plaster the whole city with posters I think they might just add me. If they do, I’m going to sneakily and slowly become better and better e-friends until, when they finally play here in Ottawa, I’ll be invited backstage to hang out with the band.
Pretty sneaky, eh? My other plan is to get to Toronto within 4 days, to get to The Horseshoe, to see them play on the 12th… trying to figure out if that’s possible. Probably not…
So today I have to be at YSB for 11:30 to work on the Youth Stories Project. Which is some of the most amazing work I’ve ever done, because it involves directly engaging other youth to help them get their stories out to the world. I’ll let you all know when it’s up on their website.
Other than that, pretty average days. I’m going to see Alice In Wonderland tonight with K and S from work, should be pretty awesome. Nothing too drug-policy related to report, I’m afraid.
