Photo Post: Stop The Cuts! Rally – Red Deer

On 7 November 2009, over 1,000 people gathered in Red Deer at a rally organized by Friends of Medicare to protest cuts being made by Alberta’s ‘Progressive’ Conservative Government to healthcare, education and public services. The group marched from a community centre, to the Capri Hotel where the PC AGM was being held.

UPDATE: The media was reporting 700, and at the beginning the organizers were saying there were over 700 people there. By the end rally organizers and the RCMP placed the number at over 1,000.
